Holidays

Did the below painting this week. I needed something for the annual horsewoman's Christmas party a friend of mine does every year. So made some prints and used one for the gift exchange we do every year. My friend PB got the print and was thrilled. Plans on bringing it into the frame shop to get it framed. I may take the original in and have it framed.

Not much else. Still job searching. Am planning on hitting that pretty hard after new years unless I win the lottery and don't have to go back to work.

Off to paint some more. Have a show in Feb so need to get more paintings done.

Still unemployed and loving it

You would think that since I no longer go into an office every day I would be posting more on my blog. But I never seem to have time. Had an art show in November, no pictures...I just can't seem to remember to grab my camera. But did very well at the show. Paintings for the holidays under way and playing around with the idea of setting up an etsy site. And working part time at the frame shop re-learning how to mat and frame artwork. Doesn't pay much but get all the scrap matboard I want and can mat my own artwork for nothing or next to nothing. That's a pretty good perk.

Here is a little pear ACEO that I matted with a black velvet mat scrap. It only took me three times to cut the darn mat to fit right. But finally got it right.

And here are two paintings, both 6x6 oil pastel that are going to someone for Christmas.

The pear's I've been doing are very popular and if I'd had more on canvas at the art show probably would have sold them all but I only had one on canvas.
